The 2015 Call for Nominations for the Goodman Prize in Historical Studies is now posted; deadline for nominations is 16 February 2015. Many thanks to the 2015 selection committee (Paul Rodell [chair], Vina Lanzona, Resil Mojares and Norman Owen) for their valuable service.
Meeting details: The PSG will meet on Friday the 27th of March at 7:30 pm. We’re meeting in “Parlor F” at the conference venue, Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers.

There are four panels of interest on Friday, and a crush of seven on Saturday the 28th so please plan ahead. Note that the PSG sponsored panel (Jojo Abinales & Lynne Milgram) is scheduled at 5 pm on Saturday. On the same day, inter-area panels with multiple Philippine papers are noteworthy as well: on interdisciplinary archaeology (Sandy de Leon) slated at 8:30 am and on Chinese creolization/acculturation (Guo-Quan Seng) at 10:45 am. For colleagues presenting on a panel that is not listed here, please send an email and provide panel title in full.
Upcoming: The call for nominees for the Goodman Prize in Historical Studies is forthcoming with the customary mid-February target date; details to follow. In addition, the PSG Travel Fund Committee is accepting applications for travel awards of up to $300 to graduate students and junior scholars presenting at the AAS; deadline is Feb 21, 2015 with additional details below.
