Call for Papers-SEAC Rising Voices

The Southeast Asia Council  (SEAC) of which the PSG is a part is organizing a “Rising Voices” panel targeting junior colleagues. This is usually post-docs or faculty at instructor and Assistant Professor rank or advanced graduate students but this I am pretty sure it also includes non-traditional roles like independent scholar and such. Since SEAC is organizing this, it is likely to be assured a spot on the program in next year’s AAS in Toronto, and might have special travel funding available as well. is broadly defined. Please circulate to those you know who are working on the topic of “transnational borderland identities.” It would be great to continue to have Philippine Studies folks in the mix, as we’ve seen in so many excellent inter-area panels of late. See original call for papers below. Deadline is July 1st, 2016
