Dear PSG Folks, I’ve scanned the program for the 2018 AAS meeting in DC and made a preliminary list of panels and roundtables with some Philippine Studies content. I hope this might be helpful; if I’ve omitted anything I’d like to correct it. If you are on a panel, will you do me the favor of checking my list to make sure your panel is included with the correct information? Please e-mail any additions or corrections to me (firstname.lastname@example.org). Finally, just a reminder that our PSG group meeting is on Friday evening of the conference, 7:30, in Park Tower 8212, Lobby Level. I’m looking forward to seeing many of you there! –Megan
AAS Panel Update: Dr. Maria Ela L. Atienza, University of the Philippines, Diliman, will no longer be attending the conference. Her presentation “Local Challenges, Disasters and Human Security: Local Communities, Governments and Human Security during and after Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda)” will not be included in the panel, Disaster and the Asian Society.
